Everything was good except the checkin. We were put in a room that was 33 degrees and told there was nothing else available. Maintenance said it could not be fixed and 2 hours later we finally got a different room.

The hotel is excellent. It has great facilities and is in a good place to visit all attractions in Dublin.
Staff are friendly and welcoming and go the extra mile to ensure that you have a good stay.
Good sized room, very clean and serviced daily with fresh water, coffee and tea.
My only gripe is that there is only one lift, but you can always get those extra steps on by using the stairs.
The gym and pool are good.

Get there early or book online. We got lucky as we arrived just as it opened and got on a tour 40 minutes later

Good to book in advance. You can only enter on a guided tour. If you don't book and need to wait for the next tour, there is a cafe, the Irish museum of modern art (which is free) is 5 mins walk away. The guide was excellent and very well informed. He was obviously passionate about irish history. The prison has been restored and it is an emotional reminder of how political and ordinary prisoners were treated in the not too distant past.
