"I don’t have incidents that caused a negative experience, this is based on an overall experience. I was promptly instructed to pay 200 dollars in “resort fees” at check in. This covers things like the gym and the roof top. Oh well. Arrived to the room and discovered it to be very small. I’m also disappointed to discover that it is made up of quite cheap decor. It looked nice in the pictures, but in reality the ‘wood details’ were plastic. The soaps are cheap bulk soaps, the sink had gunk and green mold in the drain area. The floor was dirty and the window with the GREAT VIEW as they call it (which I had paid extra for) was almost completely covered in dirt. However, that’s not even the worst part of the Public experience. The worst part is that it seems like the hotel is trying to be more ‘exclusive’ than it is. This comes to expression by security people making you queue for the rooftop and screening you, to make it feel like an exclusive nightclub (that rooftop you force paid for). It also shows when security guards follow you to ensure you don’t use ‘professional’ cameras (I had a normal Canon) anywhere. Or, that there is NOwhere in the hotel you are allowed to work a bit, because no laptops are allowed anywhere other than your claustrophobic room. Honestly, the entire experience was cringe from a mid-tier hotel suffering from the complex of wanting to be Soho House and falling into trap of thinking bad service is exclusiveness. I added a star for the coffee shop guys"

"Vi havde booket er deluxe værelse. Der var ikke meget deluxe over det. Værelset var slidt, badeværelset en smule snavset grunder alder og slid og møblerne var også af noget ældre dato"

"Et super Hotel, boet her efterhånden mange gange.Et trygt Sted at bo, m god Security . & Personalet er Super Servicemindet/ Føler mig meget hjemme og velkommen her. Gode Senge, lidt slidte værelser i Art Deco style “men det er NYC”. God Belligenhed til alt. Samt Transport til og fra Lufthavn (Penn st)…….& snart retur til NYC. "

"Great place, nice rooms close to Times square and 5th ave. The sky bar is great, could have better selection of drinks though. Go to Hard rock cafe on Times square to eat the selection is bigger. We thought it would be the same. But the food is still great though"
