"Absolutely worthwhile a visit. Only thing we missed was an outdoor area where one could sit. Like a covered patio or the like. The wine tasting not worth a penny but very nice friendly staff. Lovely restaurants in town. Surroundings great. "

"Greetings fellow travellers. If you are looking for cosy, beautiful and personal - this is it! We booked 1 night at this place and decided right away to extent our stay. The location is so special and beautiful and Maria made us feel right at home. Her level of service is through the roof. Also, the hike from the hotel to Pinhao is picturesque. "This is a beautiful, peaceful property. We enjoyed the huge rooms, gorgeous dining room, and decent gym. The spa consisted of a small sauna and steam room (which we could not open, and there was no one working there to open it). But it was very difficult to find, as the Expedia address took us to a house 15 minutes away. "We absolutely loved our stay at Quinta da Marka! It was beautiful and on such a picturesque spot along the river. It was so relaxing and a restful spot for our honeymoon. The train station is nearby to get to other cities if you wanted to, otherwise it is quite isolated in this area. Walking over to Quinta do Crasto for a wine tasting & tour was a highlight of the area too! The Quinta offered breakfast, lunch, and dinner which was very convenient. Angela was so helpful in getting us checked in...

"The property was well located with easy and good access to Aramante the Douro valley and Porto. The garden and house are secluded and the surrounding area of vineyards was very quiet and peaceful. The house was really well equipped and very nice with lots of hot water and towels for the pool. We enjoyed walking around the area and into Aramante along the new footpath next to the river. We had a really relaxing stay and would throughly recommend the house to people. "
