"The Château de Colombier fits the bill for a charming and romantic country getaway that is entirely authentic to the area. Run by a beautiful, generous couple that make you feel at home from the instant you arrive, you feel as though you are a member of the family and a welcome house guest. Highly recommend on all levels."

"Absolute hidden gem for visiting Lyon. The pictures are spot on. More space than one might hope for. Unusual property in that it’s tucked behind an apartment building. But once inside, you feel transported. The host Sissi was communicative and incredibly helpful. Would recommend this stay to anyone. We look forward to coming back!"

"I love this place. It’s the second time here but there will be more visits for sure. The hotel is perfectly located in the north of Beaujolais, close to Lyon and Geneva and is a small castle. Each room is stylishly decorated. Outside it’s like a big garden with a nice pool. So relaxing, like a retreat. Just adult guests and the pool is followingly no playground. Love the hosts Hervé and Natalia who are so friendly and make sure you will have a great stay. Take the opportunity to do the wine...

"Our host was very helpful even making last-minute reservations at a 5 Star restaurant. This is a country home with all the charm. We had all the basic needs and it is a short drive to stores and restaurants. There are some steps to get to the bedrooms. Soap and Shampoo are bring your own. All linens and towels were provided as was a fully functioning Kitchen. If you need ice for cocktails buy it before you check in. Highly recommend if touring in this Wine region."

"The service was always very professional and attentive. The hotel is from a different period, where rooms were different, priorities different and amenities different. The wi-fi in the room was too poor, it was not always possible to remain online even just for mails or online news. To see even a short video clip often would not be possible. This is not good enough in 2025 in a declared 4-star hotel. There was no coffee/tea in the room. That's quite rare these days even in 2-star hotels. Location was excellent."
