"A short 3 day, 2 nite stay in early September. Leaves were still green, and weather was barely cool. Beauty of nature surrounded us. Restful with no noise of traffic, trains or planes. We were definitely, OFF THE GRID and loved every minute. Hiking Trail well kept. Hosts were were very hospitable."

"The home is on a finger of Claytor Lake, which was quiet and out of the wind. It is eclectic with kitchen on bottom level and living room area on the second level. You can access both levels independently from the driveway. Overall, comfortable for our needs given the weather wasn't great but we were in town for graduation."

"Great location. Nice to hear Big Wilson Creek in the evening. Enjoyed seeing some good sized trout in the stream, but left my flyrod at home. Lucky fish. Saw several species of birds and heard more. We love blueberry picking in nearby Grayson Highlands State Park. We worked hard for our berries, but they are worlds better tasting than domestic berries and fun to pick. "My wife and I are considering moving to SW Virginia and have spent increasingly more time there. We loved the location of the Blue House as well as the house itself. Tastefully and thoughtfully decorated, open and spacious. Abbey and Ron have done a fantastic job on the house and are gracious hosts. Check in and check out were simpler than any hotel.
