Hotel i Cartagenita, Cartagena

"We spent two nights in a lovely sea front room on the 25th floor. The room had amazing ocean views and was very spacious, with two queen size beds, and a large bathroom with a shower and a bathtub. The reception staff are all very helpful and friendly. The large pool area (pools on three different levels) is on the 10th/14th floor. The pool area is rather packed and quite noisy (guests, kids, music). The hotel sells affordable day passes to non guests. At the pool area they have a nice cart with firendly staff serving freshly made lunch until 14:30 (eg. sushi rolls, kebabs). The restaurant area is being rebuilt (summer 2023-summer 2024), so breakfast and dining takes place in the less attractive conference area. Next door there is a small mall and some fast food restaurants. The beach area and the neighbouring streets looked a little gritty, but OK for a walk during day time. It’s a five minute cab ride into the old town (15,000 pesos). "
