Summary:
One of the most unique properties in the city. Our log cabin is the oldest structure in Franklin county. Built in 1805, the cabin has been moved, added onto and changed throughout the last two centuries. Located in an off-campus neighborhood, this one of a kind home will take you back in time but give you the modern amenities you need to be comfortable during your stay. Here is a great article detailing the house's past. https://www.dispatch.com/story/news/2022/06/13/columbus-beers-family-had-adventurous-lives-1800-s/7531565001/
The Space:
This rustic three bedroom has three bedrooms, kitchen, living space and even a hidden room (if you can find it). There is plenty of room to gather with friends or family and play a game or relax. There is also outside seating in a partially fenced yard to enjoy a quiet, relaxing experience.
The main floor has a large living room with fireplace, TV and seating to enjoy some time together. Large bedroom with double bed, and 1/2 bathroom. Upstairs you will find a full bathroom, and 2 more bedrooms. One with a double bed, and one with 2 twin beds.
Guest Access:
You will be able to access the outdoor space and all of the rooms in the property. Anything in the house is yours to use for your stay! One thing you will not have access to is the utility closet. You will have one parking space off the alley and there is street parking not far from the home.
The Neighborhood:
Old North Columbus is a neighborhood located just north of the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. It was founded in 1847 where, at the time, it was a stand-alone city out of the confines of Columbus until it was incorporated into the City of Columbus in 1871. In its early years the city was a popular stagecoach stop with people traveling from Worthington to Columbus. Today Old North Columbus is popular for its local music and its unique "untouched architecture" which is reminiscent of its old roots.
