Friends getaway
This is a great place to stay very clean and everything you could possibly need. The property manager was very helpful our group was from 6 to 70 and everyone had a great time.

Had a large group with houseboat rentals lined up on the lake for the next day. Well equipped, and a nice yard where everyone could gather. River is beautiful

Great location
We stayed here to fly fish the white river and it was a perfect place to enjoy this activity. Renting a boat from the property owner with the dock just a short walk from the cabin was fantastic. I would definitely recommend this place to other fishermen.

Family fishing trip
A fantastic vacation was had by all. Even when the fish weren’t biting. Sitting out on the lighted dock in the evenings and listening to the sounds of nature is something you don’t often get to experience. We are already talking about our next trip

River cliff cabin
Renting and experience with the owners was great. The beds were terrible to sleep in after a day of being outside and wanting to relax. My daughter and her boyfriend said bed springs were sticking them and the master were awful also. Down at the dock there is a nest of snakes and Mary said one started to come up the rocks. Maybe they need to get rid of them before someone gets bit and goes to the hospital. I don’t think we will be back there for the price I paid unless there is a redo.

Nice place
Renting was easy. In my opinion, it was a little overpriced, and the location was somewhat misleading. I was under the impression it was on the river, not several hundred yards away, and wasn’t aware the private dock was shared with several other renters.

Floors needed mopping, spider webs in multiple areas, dirty socks, underwear ,potholders & other cloths up next to hot water heater. ( they were NOT ours)Need more trash bags. Ad is deceiving it’s not close to river. On arrival the dishes in dishwasher were nasty dirty. But we did let it ruin our 4th. You need to hire a better cleaning crew. Broken toilet paper holder in hall bath. Can’t swipe floor because broom was well I can’t even call it a broom. Can use backyard/fire pit after a rain because it’s nothing but mud.

Location was great. Misled about being closest to the river.
All the batteries in unit were dead. Starting with the thermostat so it was freezing cold. Dead batteries in remotes for tv, deadbolt in door so we were locked out for a short while. Most of the blinds were broken. Multiple lightbulbs out. The kitchen table has springs going into your backside, very uncomfortable. Fence was broken in a few spots but still held in our dog. Porches and outdoor furniture where filthy. Garbage cans overflowing and then animals got into the garbage. There was a home under instruction with piles of debris and garbage all around it. We planned on renting one of the John boats but they we very dirty. The house Itself was decently clean. Also, dock lights were not working. River was gorgeous though.

RENTER BEWARE! Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else!!
The owner changed the listing on homeaway as soon as I called her after we pulled up to the house, letting her know we were very disappointed that she false advertised this place! It is no where near the water. You can NOT see the river from the house, its about 2 football fields away and there are 2 other homes blocking your view. After refusing to refund the money, she argued with me through text messages, saying that we had assumed too much and that she was sorry that it was not what we had “made up in our minds” for it to be. We had also prepaid for a boat rental for 2 days and she refused to reimburse any of the money for the boat to make up for the false ad! Upon entering we noticed the ac did not work, the ac filter looks like it hasn’t been replaced in a year with at least 2 inches of debris packed on it, the dining room table is falling apart, the fence is starting to fall down and there are multiple broken outside chairs. I called home away and they contacted the owner who said someone would be out that night to fix the ac. No one ever showed except the maid to bring a new ac filter! Bright and early on day 2 with no ac, I started calling home away again to get a refund or something so we could go elsewhere. We had children, an infant and 2 disabled people plus pets. On one of the many phone calls to home away the rep. connected the line with the owner and after telling her about everything that is broken, she had the nerve to say it wasn’t like that before we showed up, luckily I had contacted homeaway the day before, immediately after walking through the house and had sent them all the photos! She did offer to refund only 2 nights IF she could rebook it for the weekend. I was not willing to make that deal knowing the listing is fraud and we still had no ac! On the last call to homeaway the rep told me I should have contacted them first and I would have received a full refund due to false advertisement and fraud. So do NOT contact the owner, she will NOT do anything! Also the house is 2 bedrooms not 3, the dock is not private, people who are not renters drive up to the dock to fish, as well as to use the fire pit. There is no management on the property to inforce the rules. The boats need cleaned and one is missing the motor cover. Im sure the owner will respond to this review and say whatever lies she wants to come up with, but I want the public to know they are being deceived!

Not as advertised
This property is not as advertised! It is not directly on the river as the pictures show. There are 2 additional houses between it and the river. The pictures show a deck overlooking the river but that is NOT this cabin. That is a duplex that is on the same property. The dock is not private to this home either, it is shared by the other properties that this owner has. The dock was not accessible for my disabled child ( as the owner stated it would be, and I had called her twice and asked very specific questions) because there is a house being built on the grass area (in the pictures) that is directly in front of the dock. I’m sure the fishing is great but if you are looking for something right on the river that has a private dock this is NOT it! After much discussion with the owner and calling VRBO we were told our money would be refunded. We did not stay at this location as it was not at all as described and not feasible for our son who is disabled.

Easy Process, Very Comfortable
Check in/out was a breeze and the cabin was furnished with everything you need to be comfortable. Really enjoyed the fire pit and the proximity to the waterfront.

Traveling with the handicapped
We messaged ahead to make sure the place was handicapped accessible to everything. Including the dock and fishing. It was not accessible but we managed. It was exhausting for everyone to do much. Front step was very high .the renters were very nice but it was not what we had expected. Sheets were worn and stained but overall it was a nice place. Back porch and grill could have used some cleaning.

The place was in an excellent location for the areas we like to fish. It had everything we needed in the kitchen to cook meals in the evenings.

Merely adequate
The boat was advertised as electric start, that is if you provided a battery, not so.We were not told we needed to furnish the battery. Motor was chained to transom so that it could not be moved side to side. Had to cut the chain to use the boat. Access to washer and dryer? Maid left wet clothes in washer and dryer was not empty. And the furniture was amazing; most have been purchased at unclaimed freight because anyone who sat on it would not want it. Beds were somewhat comfortable; no way this place can sleep 12 in any form of comfort. This place needs some serious management oversight.
