Pros:
- Good value
- Very walkable. Many places to eat, multiple nearby supermarkets, and the Marina. Capri gelato right across the street.
- Comfortable bed
- Clean
- In unit washer/dryer
- Nice pool and really nice exercise room.
- Host responsive
Cons:
- The vertical blinds were missing a few slats
- Sofa was not the most comfortable and furnishing are sparse.
- You can hear traffic noise from Lincoln blvd. It's not terrible, and at night it quiets down quite a bit, but I can imagine light sleepers would notice.
Summary: Overall it was a comfortable place to stay for a week. If I were to rate it similar to hotel class, it would probably be a 3-star, quality comfort with the basics. The area of Marina del rey and Venice does have its share of homeless, but the building itself felt very safe and we had no real problems walking around. Furnishings are sparse (a comfy chair in the living area and in the bedroom would be nice) and I think the sofa could use an upgrade, but the wife and I had a good stay. I would have no problem coming back again.
