"The property was close to the park entrance, easy to come and go. Low maintenance no checkin and checkout. Key in the door when we arrived. Small heater for the room and it rained the two nights we were there. So we needed the heater. Basic fruit, granola bars and yogurt for breakfast. We didn’t spend much time in the room as we were out in the park. A little difficult to find but great little spot"

"We loved our 7-night stay at Hilltop vacation rental! We had the economy room with a view of the ocean and it was very cool to wake up to the sun rising. The room was clean, there was a shower and bathroom and all of the necessary essentials for our stay—coffee maker, small fridge, etc…The parking was a bit tight, but our rental Jeep fit into the parking spots! It was a quiet and peaceful stay. Would definitely recommend! "

"Hands-down the best place we stayed during our 2.5 week trip to Hawaii! Barry and Jim were wonderful hosts, we were greeted by Barry as soon as we arrived! He helped get us settled in and showed us around the cabin. The cabin comes stocked with breakfast items, coffee, and fresh fruits! "Das Gästehaus ist für den Preis sehr empfehlenswert, da die Preise für Unterkünfte, selbst auf der Hilo-Seite von Big Island sehr hoch sind. Dementsprechend haben wir gewertet. Man darf für diesen Preis allerdings nur entsprechende Erwartungen haben. Viele Hawaiianer leben in ähnlichen Situationen. Das Zimmer war geräumig und sehr sauber. "If you are a backcountry camper, this is for you! The hut is situated in primitive setting of rain forest. You can imagine a big tent but in wood sitting in the woods. I like the nature surrounding and the art deco. However, lack of electricity and a modern bathroom is a big downside. The host is friendly, responsive, and helpful. However, descriptions of the property and instructions to the property aren't sufficiently clear."

"Every detail has been thought of! The room was beautiful, spacious, comfortable, and had everything you could need!! You really feel like you have your own private jungle bungalow. Slept like a rock in the comfy bed and the rain on the roof! Eric and Chris were SO great, wish we had more time to chat with them. next time :) It's super close to the park. "Wow. Jordan & Ohana- thank you so much! Everything was exactly as described, maybe even better. The security of the gate, the waterfall shower, the cleanliness of the space- everything was great. The host even came over at 9:30pm and helped us figure out the fire pit so that we could do s’mores and stargaze! I would definitely come here again- what a great spot. "Quiet and breezy. There is a/c but we didn't need to run it and could hear the birds chirping most of the day. Plenty of room for two people with a standard sized refrigerator, king bed, good storage for clothes, etc. We stayed here a few years ago when it first became a rental, and the years and guests haven't been kind to the property. Everything is showing wear and tear. The lanai is private and gets a good breeze but the wicker furniture is starting to split in several places. Towels are...

"We had a fabulous stay and absolutely loved the cabin's lanais, all the natural light, the kitchen, propane fireplace, open concept, and wood features. The cabin was easy to get to and the access road is well maintained. We enjoyed cooking dinners every night and even enjoyed some cocktails out on the lanai using the stemware provided. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!"

"The house is comfortable with ample rooms. The bathrooms are unique. Location was perfect, near the beach, not far from great farmers markets. Nearby Sea View has a lot of local entertainment. We enjoyed the evening frogs and morning roosters. The owners dog is very sweet."
