"Very easy to find, centrally located. Excellent instructions for checking in and fantastic communication from the host. Comfortable beds, two separate bathrooms and relaxed living room/kitchen area. Free parking directly outside and spotlessly clean throughout. Coffee machine, fridge and freezer which was full of ice. Great cooking facilities, would highly recommend."

"A whole apartment all to yourself, My wife came down to visit since I’m working down in area from Taylor Tx, our son had his own room and it really felt like a home away from home, we got to watch the Longhorns beat OU in the living room , shopping was close , all around perfect!!!! "It was a really cool experience. The wagon was wonderfully cozy. I do recommend ear plugs because I-40 is loud at night with Jake brakes, horns and sirens. Absolutely do it if you’re traveling that way. Whether you do the hotel right by the restaurant or do the tv park/cabins/wagons…just do it. Such a great old school travel vibe. If you’re at the rv park/ cabins/wagons you can take a limo with steer horns to restaurant and back."

"If you ever stay at this property, you will know exactly what that means. Check in is via a kiosk with an agent overseas. Never experienced anything like that but it was ok. They have worked hard to make this into a clean, safe, and comfortable hotel experience. It was quite nice EXCEPT for the horrible smell emitting from one of those plug in scent things with liquid in a reservoir. It would send a skunk running. We unplugged it and bagged it but the smell stayed with us. Note to owner: Please...

"El Capitan was quaint and vintage decor. Loved the amenities and all the property had to offer! Peaceful and enjoyed the stay! The host was amazing and so attentive. Less than 15 minutes to the canyon and 25 to Amarillo for the Big Texas Steakhouse. It was my husband and I and our two fur babies. We would definitely recommend if you’re heading that way ! One of a kind!!"
