We made our booking on Expedia and somehow the resort completely got our reservation wrong. What was meant to be an ocean front view room for 4 ended up being registered as a normal room for 2 by the hotel managment staff. This led to two hours of back and forth between us, Expedia and the resort who contributed little to nothing in helping us. I had to phone expedia myself and had their personnel try to call the resort reservation department who refused to pick up. After the two miserable hours of waiting in the front lobby, the resort magically fixed our booking without even answering the calls from the expedia agent who was on the line with me. My suspicion was that the resort realized their mistake and tried to fix it.
The resort itself was mid at best. The power kept cutting off multiple times a day for a few seconds each. The food options were incredibly limited - you can only reserve a restaurant experience once every 3 nights with most of them fully booked already. The buffet has different themes each night of the week, but with minimal changes. Our rooms also took forever to get cleaned...
Overall, the experience was lack luster and not worth the price. If you have ever gone to resorts in cancun and want to try this one, I think it would be a massive downgrade. Of course, maybe we were just unlucky and others may have had a much better time there.
