"The Sunset Inn was a wonderful choice for our overnight in Punta Gorda/Port Charlotte. It's a great location right across the street from Charlotte Harbor and close to everything we wanted to do in Punta Gorda. The Inn's property is beautifully landscaped and well kept. The suite is very clean, the bed very comfortable and the mini kitchen area had everything needed for cooking (although we ate out the entire weekend.) "Had a great time. The only issue was when we went to the pool one afternoon and four "yacht couples" also came to the pool with their cooler of beer. They created a circle in the shallow end of the pool, chatting and drinking their beers. No issues with them but no room for us to get in and swim around unless we went into the deep end. We are senior citizens and have a hard time getting up and down the ladder in the deep end. We stayed for a short while and then left the pool."
