No hot water at shower, rude and abusive tenents, still waiting for my security deposit to be reterned to me and it has been over a week now, to be honest what a bloody rip off.

Hi Meegan and Chaz,Thank you for the feedback, unfortunately the team did have an issue with one room during your stay that was not considerate to others staying in the hotel, the guests were spoken with on a number of occasions about the behavior. Credit card holds are released by the hotel on the day of departure, bank processing times do vary, it can take up to 10 working days for this hold to be released by your bank.

No air conditioning apart from a wall fitted heater and a fan. For winter might not be a problem. However one of the nights we spent at the hotel the temperature was 6-7 degrees higher than average and we really missed air conditioning. Onsite parking wasn’t free for in-house guests, which is usually free. Therefore it was kind of misleading. Should have mentioned that under hotel facilities

Arrived after check in time to find our room wasn't ready and they couldn't tell us when it would be. Then we where provided with a garage card so we could park our car but they didn't let us know that they over sell carparks so you are not guaranteed a spot even when paying for one. Once we finally where able to check into our room discovered stained and marked bedding, no room information and the room was extremely hot. Would think twice about staying again.

It was a nice hotel and a clean place to stay. The layout of the hotel is confusing and the front desk does not do a very good job explaining how to get around.

We stayed 3 nights and it was a perfect location for us. It is about a 5 minute walk from downtown Queenstown and the walk into the town is along a beautiful walking path that leads right to the lake. Upon checkin we were given a plethora of great information, how to park (we paid the extra $15 a night for garage access that you can come and go from as much as you like otherwise you can play the game of free street parking) and a bellman met us in the parking garage to show us to our room because the property is sprawling and quite large and can be hard to find your way at times. The room was big enough for us not to feel cramped for our 3 nights. We have a stunning view right outside on the ground level of mountains and the lake. One of our favorite spots to end the night was the restaurant/lounge up top that showed more beautiful views. The food was good, gave enough choices and the bar was easy. The staff was incredibly lovely and accommodating! Would certainly stay here again.

Copthorne Waterfront Queensyown
Easy to walk to town centre.....downhill! Not so easy walking back up, but there is a good bus service right up the hill from Stanley Street and it is easy to get a Bee card, which can be used in many places. Combine that with the Entertainment App and good savings can be made.

Pros: Most comfort bed. Staffs are nice. Convenient location. Lakefront view Cons: Hotel is too old: no aircon (but they have fan and heater) Shower is on top of bathtub with drain slow flow TV is not smart tv With these condition maybe consider reduce the price a bit.

Room full of Mosquitos. Says lake front but far away from it. No water available. Shows cheapness of management style everywhere. Staff did their best to compensate but it’s not your money .worth

We were checked into a big room with the spectacular view of lake waikatipu. Convenient location, a quick 5-min walking distance to Queenstown centre for our morning coffee. Overall a lovely experience!

The room had a great lake view. The hotel was old and not very clean. Plumbing was poor. Very few services, couldn’t get a coffee mid-afternoon.

The building grounds and staff all seemed lovely. it was an odd arrangement of buildings too navigate but all was fine until we went to bed to find that the sheets under the made bed were obviously not clean. someone came up and changed the bed immediately he was kind efficient and apologetic but we were still taken aback. The next day at check out the front desk didn't seem to be aware this had happened at all.

The lake and surrounding mountains are extremely beautiful. The location is quiet and calm. Just a few minutes walk to good restaurants, stores, hiking and bicycle trails. Really enjoyed our stay there.

This was obviously once a very nice hotel but it is in great need of some tlc. Rooms are a good size, bathrooms old and in need of renovation. Fabulous views from our room. Laundry facilities good. The whole place needs a lick of paint!

The areas of the hotel that were on the main floor were light enough, but there are weird block arms of the hotel that jut out downstairs that created long, dark hallways to get to the rooms. We had a suite on the lake which had beautiful views of the mountains and was very comfortable But dated. The staff were very friendly, the showers strong with good water pressure (but backed up into the bathroom) and the hotel is very convenient to town.

Large rooms, need to request a quiet room, easy walk to town, good dining experience with friendly staff. Breakfast buffet at $35 is NOT worth it. Poor selection and horrible coffee. There are excellent coffee machines on the market

The property is in a great location a block away from the beach and about five minutes from downtown Queenstown! The one negative I have about the property is the Wi-Fi. It was completely unusable, I just relied on my cell phone service. I would not stay here again based on how bad the Wi-Fi was.
