"Purpose of our overnight was for rest & refreshment. We wanted something quiet and away from people, this place was exactly that. Very clean and organized. Very little dish & hand soap, but everything else was well thought out and provided for. Appreciated the Keurig cups, we enjoyed several cups of coffee. The sunrise view was amazing. "

"The area is quiet, and the home is so clean and filled with the necessities you need. Just do a little groceries and relax. Wifi is not that great but it’s due to the area. It’s a quick 8-10 min ride into town but be careful at night because its quite dark, and the road has two awkward turns. All in all, we enjoyed our stay! I definitely recommend and John the host is a decent guy, thanks John! :-)"

"There was broken glass on the ground throughout the backyard. Bed mattress needs updating or replaced as well as the pillows. The living room furniture is dated.."

"This is the perfect place to stay if you want to get back to nature! Simple pleasures, nothing fancy, but all the accomodations of home. The sound of the water on the shores mimicked the sound of the ocean at the beach our first night there. The main bed was so comfy it was like sleeping on a cloud. We thoroughly enjoyed being on the water and the beautiful sunsets. We fished, sat on the dock, walked the waterfront, did puzzles, played cards, crocheted, baked cookies, watched a few movies...

"Happy to have found this house as an option on our yearly trips to Pungo! Amenities were perfect for our needs and though the house is older, it was clean and well taken care of. Hot water and cold/ac warm heat."

"We had an amazing 6day,5 night stay at the Bay House. What an amazing size for my family of 5 and our friends family of 3. The two bathrooms a huge plus. Kitchen had everything we needed and more. After kids went to bed the porch overlooking the sound was the perfect spot for the adults to hang and play games the rest of the night."
