Historic Townhouse in Incredible Location w/ Parking By Lucky Savannah

Located on one of Savannah's oldest streets, lined up amongst expansive, rich, historic mansions this bright and stately townhouse is able to accommodate up to six Lucky guests.

The second level entrance brings you into the parlor level, which has a multitude of rich wood architectural details, including original hardwood floors, floor to ceiling windows, and ornate decorative fireplaces. On this floor you’ll find the main gathering room, with a large flatscreen television, which is open to the formal dining room, ideal for entertaining. At the back of the home, you'll find the fully renovated kitchen with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and fully equipped with everything needed to prepare home-cooked meals.

Upstairs you’ll find the two bedrooms and a private sitting deck that overlooks the treelined courtyard. The primary suite is furnished with a tasteful mix of antique furniture, a four post king-size bed, and luxurious en suite bath with a marble tiled shower and large soaking tub. The second bedroom also features a king size bed, with an ample amount of space to store all of your belongings. Just off of the hall, the full bathroom has a tub/shower combo, and plenty of counter space to get ready for an evening out.

This home is ideally located within a short walk to many of Savannah’s historic points-of-interest and incredible selection of dining options. You’ll be well situated to explore Savannah’s rich history with the Owens Thomas House and the Davenport House Museum both just a block away.

What is parking like for this home?
This unit has one private parking space behind the home. All additional parking can be found on-street, and is metered which is enforced by the City of Savannah Monday through Saturday from 8am to 8pm. You have the option of feeding the meter, parking in a nearby parking garage, or buying a parking pass from the Savannah Visitor Center. All of that information is included in our confirmation email sent upon booking.

Explore Savannah
We stayed in this beautiful home with another couple and were so pleased with how comfortable it was even with the beautiful chandeliers and antique furniture. It fit the setting of the old south but with the comforts of a modern home. It was a lovely experience.

Great location!
The location was perfect! We were able to walk and see the sites of downtown Savannah without worrying about driving and parking. Lots of fabulous restaurants and access to various tours. House had what we needed, and property management responsive to our needs.

Fantastic location
We were in town to visit our SCAD student. This was a great location- very walkable to everywhere we wanted to go. Great coffee shop just down the lane- Cup to Cup. The property was clean and comfortable. Be AWARE- there is construction going on directly next door. They begin work at 7am and work until 7pm or later, Monday-Saturday. Condominiums being built from the ground up so this will be going on for many months to come. We were not told this was going on and it would have influenced my choice of properties. I was looking forward to sitting on the porch reading, etc. This was not possible. Host company was great at communication and offered a late check out which was appreciated but there should be some notice of the ongoing noise and activity.

Convenient, family friendly, adorably historic
This was the perfect spot for my family of four with 2 under 5 years old. Conveniently located between Forsyth Park and the river. You can basically park in the off street parking and walk everywhere. Highly recommend staying here!

Step Back in Time
This townhouse was a perfect place to enjoy the nostalgic atmosphere of Savannah. We were very impressed with the preservation of the original woodwork and furnishings. The bedrooms were very comfortable . The location was perfect for walking to River Street and nearby restaurants.

Paid for hot tub and jetted tub. A hot tub has never been on the property. That part of the listing needs to be corrected. The jetted tub for 1 had a pressure pipe off the pump discharge brake our 1st night. Water was pouring thru the ceiling light fixtures into the kitchen below. It was never fixed during our stay. Have asked for a partial refund from the mgt company. Big promises so far, but no results. I snore, even with a CPAP. I aways book two bedrooms. Closed pocket doors between the bedrooms are not an effective sound barrier. Lots of stairs. 12 outside front and back entrances. 28 inside between kit/living area and bed rooms. If you have bad knees or difficulty with stairs, this is not the place for you.

Winter Escape
The Rue Townhome was everything I thought it should be. Location and walkability excellent. Period time of home and furnishings were awesome. Be advised the home sits on Oglethorpe Ave and there was moderate traffic. Some siren noises. The homes appliances are up to date and the beds are comfortable. You can control the thermostat to your taste. Has washer and dryer..

Truly historical!
This is a beautifully renovated property in a great location. The on site parking is a definite plus. Steps and bed height were difficult for the older members of our family, but manageable with the purchase of a foot stool!

We enjoyed our stay. The property was fully equipped for our week. The only thing we had a problem with was the traffic noise at night in front bedroom. If we would have known that we would have arranged sleeping differently from the beginning.

Great location!!
My sisters and our mom stayed at this location for a girls weekend. Perfect location, close to everything, beautiful house, and well stocked. We had a great stay in this historic home and highly recommend. My only suggestion is there be a clearer address marked on E. York to indicate the proper address. Nothing really marked at the moment so we just looked for stairs and a lockbox and hoped for the best. It could be as simple as marking the trashcan. But once we found it, we had no issues at all. Definitely look forward to renting here again.

Perfect!
We loved our stay. Staying in the Historic District we found worked out so well. It was so easy to walk to all the different tours, restaurants, and activities. Our VRBO Townhouse was clean, comfortable, and had a nice historical ambiance.

Awesome place and great location
Walkable to everything. We stayed over 4th of July and watched fireworks from the upper balcony. We could see 95% of them. It was great!! Definitely stay here again.

Wonderful accommodations~
Historic home takes you back in time.. It is so close to everything we walked everywhere! The home has a private parking space in the back of home and the home is big and comfortable. The property management was very accommodating and when i asked for coffee and laundry detergent they were there Within the hour.They could not have been any nicer. There is a coffee shop just around the corner and restaurants are a couple of blocks away! We enjoyed it very much and would stay there again!
