"When we first opened the door from the main street into the garden courtyard we had a feeling the cottage was going to be special. To find it was so well equipped was an added bonus with everything in keeping with the age of the property. We appreciated the good supply of provisions too. Highly recommended."

"The outside of the property is very old like most of the village, but inside it is ultra modern with every possible convenience. My wife and I found the handles on the side of the front and rear entrance and exit particularly useful. The home baked shortbread left for guest's is to die for. A beautiful village, shop next door and a pub serving meals around the corner. Sit out in the garden early morning or after a days exploring. Full marks to Alan & Lynne, we loved it."

"Very close to Rutland water. Loads to do at Rutland. Rural location only accessable by car. The owner kindly let us charge the car at the house (we worked out and paid for the electricity used). I was pleased to find there is a freezer in the kitchen. There were lots of kitchen utensils which made cooking easy."

"Very quiet and low lit area - perfect for stargazing. No WiFi so the kids stayed off their devices and enjoyed watching the chickens roam around freely. My little boy even got to help feed some which he thought was brilliant. Mary and her husband are top class hosts! Would definitely recomendthis place to anyone who wants a quiet rural getaway. "

"We booked for a special occasion and the cottage was perfectly located to walk to our venue - Ely Cathedral. The cottage was lovely and clean with everything we needed. My only regret is that the weather prevented us from seeing the cottage in the warm sunshine. The owners were wonderfully helpful when we had a little hiccup with the hot water - coming over to help despite it being a Friday night. Thank you to them. "We were all looking forward to our short Christmas break and we were not disappointed.. The cottage was easy to find and we had early access. The heating was on and everything looked cosy. Louise had left a hamper and a bottle of Champagne - thankyou The bedrooms were of good size and the beds were comfy with a bedroom downstairs with accessible bathroom which was for us invaluable.
