"Oceana cottages are iconic and have been around for years. They’re rustic but charming. Definitely could use some updates but again, this adds to their charm. The location is superb, right on the beach, close to great sightseeing, restaurants. There’s even a bus if you wanted to take it to Provincetown and avoid the hassle of parking. Tons to do in the area. The bed is only a full size, you could easily fit a queen bed which might be more appealing to some couples. "

We left wanting a bit more on the finer details though. There was no shampoo, no paper towels, no extra bath towels and much of the house appeared dated and in need of some touching up/repair. "We are a family of 4+ our in-laws who stayed with us at this location. As soon as you turn the corner and get the view of the lake, your instantly set into vacation mode! The house is well suited and appointed with everything you need. Our host was accommodating with a few last-minute questions. We really enjoyed sitting outside with family gathered around the fire pit just exchanging stories. It’s a very serene location. We will be back!"

"Updated, cozy cottage with attractive, summery feel. Impeccably clean. Looks just like the photos. A bit tight for three adults, but manageable for a few nights. (Perfect for two.) Bed in main BR was very comfortable. Shower was great—plenty of hot water and excellent water pressure. Window a/c was a bit loud (if you’re accustomed to central air). Overall, very well equipped.
