It was a modest room. cleaning service was superb. Left us plenty of towels and the staff was so nice.

Ugh.
Cleaning staff tries to do a fairly decent job on this old and grungy unit. Supplies (toilet paper, tissues) were limited and we had to request more. Beds were old, creaky, concaved in the middle, and the sheets kept slipping off the mattress. Parking spaces were limited. Front desk staff were nice and the walk along the beach was lovely. Definitely won't be returning.

Needs an update
So, it's a convenient place for my event that I attended, however, there was NO plug in the bathroom sink--I was worried that I would drop something down it! The handle in the tub/shower to run on the water--feels like it may simply fall off in your hand! I could NOT plug in the alarm clock---it should have been plugged in behind one of the beds. One of the blinds has two wholes in it---which is a little disconcerting, since it is on the ground floor. There were spider webs at the ceiling. it did have everything needed--microwave, mini fridge etc, but it is very tight in that space! Not going stay in it again! Needs a GOOD paint job--several places show white...not the paint color of the room.

Great beach
Just a one night stay, but we loved the beach. Bathroom was clean and shower had plenty of hot water. Staff was very helpful. All in all great stay.

NOT WHAT WE PAID FOR
The room we booked was not what we paid for. By me saying this, I booked the room based on the glorified description of the room, and Amazing photos showing a pristine room. Upon arrival check in was quick, fast, and very pleasing. Then go to the room, use the key, and had to forcibly open it because it severely hangs up. And you have forcibly close it because it hangs up at the latch. Then you look to your left and the bathroom is needing ALOT OF CAULK around the tub/shower, and a new shower handle. And as you use the shower you STAND IN AN ANKLE DEEP PUDDLE THE WHOLE TIME. Next you go into the kitchenette, bedroom area. There are 2 queen beds, a dresser, a dining table with chairs, nightstand between the beds, 2 oversized bar stools, and an accent chair. You had to shuffle around or just completely move the bar stools, there is no closet space, the accent chair is just taking up space. You had to side step and shimmy around the bed and kitchen area to get to the closet. I had read reviews and asked management about my concerns in regards to the damages, small space, etc, but was assured things had been replaced and issues taken care of, but the only thing done was a new coat of paint. It looks like there was mold above the tv/dining table area at the ceiling/wall, the blinds were still broken as in previous reviews, tile was also still damaged. But I can say WE SLEPT GREAT ON THE COMFORTABLE BEDS AND PILLOWS, and was only a short walk to the backside of the opposite side of the building/complex to reach the pool area(which was only open during certain hours due to turtles(we weren’t informed until asking) and the gate to the beach. The room definitely needs some work and less furniture, rearranging.

Nothing like the pictures
Beachers Lodge staff were great. I have no complaints about them. The unit itself was the problem. The pictures must have been taken 20 years ago. The room was right next to grimy garbage cans. The window blinds were broken, the furniture was old and damaged. We were so uncomfortable, we left early.

Misrepresented run down facility
Exterior looked okay, interior had broken window, stained chipped tile flooring, floor dirty, broken elevator, towels and bedding were clean, broken washer and dryer, sign in lobby ‘no refunds for early departures’. Rent with caution , all rooms are not created equal.

Let me preface this by saying I have never left a bad review for any Vrbo we’ve ever stayed at. But this time, what it boiled down to…you get what you pay for! However, other listings at this property looked to be recently remodeled and much nicer for the same price, I would choose one of those over this condo. There were none available with a beach view or a balcony for this specific date so I had to settle for this particular unit. We choose to bring our pups since this unit was pet-friendly and thought maybe we could take some walks on the beach. When we arrived, we took them to the “dog run” to use the restroom, nothing but dirt (messy all over our shoes and their paws) and very small (10’ x 50’) at best. Definitely couldn’t be in there at the same time with another dog. We tried to watch TV, they had 3 remotes on the table (DVD player, cable & TV) had to get the staff to help us figure out how to find “normal” cable/local channels (he said, yeah some rooms have the better package, this one seems to only have basic). Most cable remotes/menus are navigable but this one was so complicated and there was NO written guide or instructions as to how to operate it. It was rainy and cold from the time we arrived until we left so needless to say, it would’ve been nice to have been able to watch some TV and relax. The kitchen sink faucet was loose and felt like it would fall into the sink if you weren’t careful. The coffee maker was small, cheap and janky. The bathroom vanity was 1 inch short of the wall on both sides with no room to put any of your toiletries so you had to be careful not to put anything on the edge of the sink for fear it would fall into the sink which didn’t have a stopper or between the vanity and the wall. Either way, totally a nightmare if you needed to retrieve something. There was nowhere to plug in a phone on the nightstand. The only outlets close to the nightstands were behind the tall headboards, had to move the beds just to plug in our phone to charge and be able to see the time in the middle of the night. The mini blinds had been chewed by other dogs. This was more of a cheap hotel than a Vrbo condo. Needless to say, we forfeited one of our two nights stay and headed home the very next morning. Figured, why stay there while it was storming outside (or even wait for it to stop) and be miserable, might as well go home and be comfortable. We were very disappointed and will never book from this property again.

Cleanliness
The cleanliness of the suit was not good. I came in and had to mop the floor as our feet turned black minutes after arriving. The AC had black stuff that was flying out of it. Other than that the location is great.

Quiet place to rest.
Not fancy; older. Price was good for us. We were mostly there to sleep; we were busy sight seeing. Love the beach access. Quiet area. Not that far of a drive to St Augustine.

You get what you paid for
This is a "cheap" and ok stay... compared to other properties this is a good cost benefit. If you are just staying there to sleep and shower, this is a good place! If you like to spend time in the room, maybe you should look for something more spacious and comfortable. There are some nice restaurants around, I definitely recommend this one: Zaharias Couldn't use the beach or pool since it was raining a lot! But it looks nice...

My stay started off rough bc of incorrect info on Vrbo site, but Beacher's Lodge fixed me up.
Rough 1st night on sleeper sofa, but the staff at Beacher's Lodge got us into a room with 2 beds for the 2nd night. I will call ahead, and ask more question next time. Good experience, overall.

Pics don't lie
Very small and a bit cramped but for the price you can't complain. Was a last minute weekend trip with my 2 adult kids. Beautiful beach location, clean room, clean pool, management staff was helpful...no complaints. Due to size of room (the pictures don't lie), I wouldn't stay for a week here but would definitely come back for another long weekend.

Beach front get a way
Excellent short walk to beach. Gorgeous view with water to rinse off pups. Pool was relaxing. Ocean view was spectacular. Friendly staff and accommodating parking right up to my door. Definitely will rent same room again.

The location is great. The studio room we rented was a bit small for a family of four. There was no room for our luggage. Very cramped. The pool was nice and the beach was clean. If we came back we would get a larger room if possible.

Great location!!
Besides we had a little Confusion with the number of our room, the management was very effective in solve the problem. We ended up in great room with a wonderful view, the place is clean and the people who works there is very friendly. We will be back in the summer for sure!!

Nice stay at the beach!
It was easy to book and the management was very nice to work with. We travel with our dog so it is also a pet friendly condotel. We stayed in room 135 and it is a little in need of updating in the kitchen area as it shows it’s age. Pans need replacing. It is set up as two queens which is crowded in the room. But for the price it is a bargain. It is dog friendly and right on the beach so you may have to overlook it. We would and will stay here again.

Extremely cramped
The beds were comfortable enough. The shower is very hard to work and there is not much room to move around at all. There was only two of us in that room. The kitchen is not functional you cannot get to the plates because of the odd shape of the countertop. We were only there for 3 days so it was fine but I wouldn't recommend it for a family.
