"Many years ago, Under the original owner this hotel was in much better condition. Unfortunately, it now appears neglected—especially in the pool and spa area, where the windows are noticeably dirty and seem to have been overlooked for quite some time. It gives the impression that little effort is being made to maintain or improve the property. Despite this, the hotel continues to charge high prices comparable to nearby, well-maintained hotels, which makes the experience feel disappointing and...

"Our favorite part were the hotel grounds: beautiful views, extremely well maintained gardens, paths and water features with multiple sitting areas. Front desk staff (Michelle) super friendly and knowledgeable. Room was very comfortable, art deco style beautifully adorns the spaces, free coffee in the morning was simple and delicious. Walking the grounds in the morning or before dinner was lovely. The hotel is also very close to Hood River town and must see locations."

"This was a beautiful hotel, especially the spa. If you check in late be prepared to wait for a little bit for someone to get to the front desk."

"The room was clean but there were dirt smudges on the walls of the bathroom and some hair so not the greatest clean. Aside from that, this hotel was great- rooms were lovely, breakfast was fantastic with eggs bacon etc. We had rooms with river views that were just lovely and you can crack the window open for fresh air. Outside was a fantastic walking path that we made use of. Staff was very accommodating and there was even a convenience “store” in the lobby. Overall hotel was wonderful just...
