"Initial feeling was a below average decor and room feel. Great hot tub. Until the power went out around 1130pm. Then we were woken from our sleep at 130am with staff pounding on the doors and yelling evacuate the building. I opened the door and a staff member told myself and the across the hall neighbor we needed to evacuate. When we asked why she left and said I’ll look into it further. "We were disappointed with our stay at Carson Resort. We specifically booked a certain bed/room configuration, but after checking in a getting to our room it was not what we had reserved. There was no communication about this change prior to arrival or even when checking in face to face at the front desk. "We really enjoyed our stay at the Lightwell. The spa is amazing, the staff friendly and helpful, and the rooms clean. We also loved that there is a lounge, a rooftop bar, and the hotel is conveniently located. Just be aware that the rooms are smaller than usual and there are no refrigerators in the rooms. But this is our new favorite place to stay in Hood River!"
