"It is exactly as the photos show. I arrived late, was walked to the hut (I guess that’s what you’d call it), and I admit I was skeptical of how well I’d be able to sleep with no walls to keep the bugs out. No bugs bothered me at all. In Texas you’d have thousands of mosquitoes, and flying insects but here, none. The singing of the tree frogs in the forest put me to sleep and I slept better than I have in at least a year. "We decided to avoid the hustle and bustle of the city for a few days and enjoyed our stay. Be prepared for curvy mountain roads. Night driving in the area was difficult, so come in during daylight hours. House doesn’t have A/C, but it has lots of windows for cool breezes. It was nice to experience this part of PR."

"Reinaldo and Iris, the couple who rent the apartment, are two of the nicest people you will ever meet. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Ciudad del Tomate. The mountain surroundings and local shops, especially the coffee houses, are superb. If I am ever in central Puerto Rico in the future, I will definitely stay there again."

"My husband, my grown children, and I had an amazing time! The house was wonderful, and we enjoyed laying in the hammocks and watching the sunsets! Christy was incredibly helpful with information on the area and was prompt to respond before and during the trip. She even helped me get a birthday cake delivered for my son! I wish we could have stayed longer! Thank you for all of your help and hospitality!"
