"Der er ingenting i lokalområdet - så sørg for at få handlet ind forinden. Hytterne er langt finere end på billedet og har alt hvad man havde brug for. Vi lavede både morgenmad og aftensmad her. Den flotte sorte sandstrand som ligger 10 minutters gang derfra er helt klart et besøg værd. "

"Skønt, skønt sted. Fællesområder/fælles faciliteter og den store have….. alt var skønt Saltvandspoolen nåede vi desværre ikke. Stedets to hunde var - for os som hundeelskere - et stort plus. Vi elskede stedet “langt ude på landet”"

"Great little getaway on the quiet side of the big island. Turnoff from main road is difficult to see at night, so the owner came out and set a light for us. Can't ask for better service than that, honestly. Room has a well-equipped ensuite kitchen. Ka'u is farm country, so it's good to be able to do one's own cooking and coffee-making. Bathroom was nice; hot water worked well. This is a good base for visiting the green sand beach and Volcano national park. There are also a lot of nice secluded...

"Room was a bit smaller than expected with kitchenette, no AC so very hot at night. Mattress was a bit mushy and roof over patio leaked onto the table when it rained. Not much privacy since you can hear all neighbors. Very picturesque but probably wouldn’t stay there again. "

"We enjoyed our too short stay in this beautiful place. I loved the interior decor. The bed was very comfortable and the sheets and towels were luxurious. The kitchen was well stocked. I most loved seeing an amazing sunrise from our deck. South point and the green beach parking lot are just a short drive at end of the road. Can highly recommend. Thank you :-)"

"The grounds are beautiful. No one helped with checkin couldn’t find #71. Didn’t know where to park. There wasn’t as much airflow as described. Really stuffy/hot sweating. The bed was hard, the couch really needs to be replaced. The loungers at the pool were chained together one facing the pool, one facing the other way. Couldn’t move any more than a couple inches. Very strange. There really is nothing around the area. The condo was clean and kitchen stocked. "

"This property and the host, Ruth, is the best VRBO we’ve stayed at. The location is rural, which is a plus for us. So quiet, peaceful and beautiful. The place is immaculate, so comfortable and she’s thought of everything to make our stay feel special. "The stay was wonderful in every way! The location is ideal for exploring Volcanoes National Park, but it's also not far from other great day-trip options and the black sand beach. The space is perfect for two people; the kitchen is well-stocked if you want to cook, and there are extras like a cooler and snorkeling gear for exploring the water. "It was very convenient location in Hilo. Next to lovely grounds. I did not see a hot tub, but did use pool. We had a mountain view but not an ocean view. The 3 balconies were great for viewing. For the price this is a good value. The bathtubs are old. But, they work fine. It is an older unit and building, but it was comfortable. Two bedroom and two bathrooms. Has coffee filters and shampoo. Has parking under facility. Walkable to a beach and lovely park area."
