"We booked 2 nights in a room with shared bathroom and shower. Both the rooms, toilets and showers are clean and with hot water. "we arrived as planned late at night and were shown to our room by the driver. There were pools of rainwater on the floor. The AC outside the window was making a humming noise which made it impossible to sleep. We were given a ground-floor room although we had been promised a 1st-floor room. Although we were moved upstairs the next day, this was just the beginning of a not-very-successful stay. "Didn't like the rough driveway into the property"

"The Lava Hotel is lovely place to stay. The Staff is welcoming, accommodating and friendly. The food is delicious. There is live entertainment on certain days. The location is in a village which gives the atmosphere you would want when trying to be absorbed in the Samoan culture. From the island’s warm breeze to its beautiful surroundings, you would be transported to tranquility. I highly recommend this hotel to any travelers looking for authenticity. "

"Perfect and relaxing stay. The 1 bedroom beachfront room was comfortable and roomy. Good sun loungers in front of our room and a beautiful lagoon to swim and snorkel in. Saw turtles on two occasions while snorkelling. Meals at the restaurant were great as were the cocktails. Staff all friendly and helpful. Hope to visit again."
